Includes from west to east, grounds for the Agricultural Society Fair of 1856, the Woodlands, Blockley Almshouse, the Upper Ferry Bridge, Market Street Bridge, the two Gas Works, Fairmount Water Works, Girard College, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Naval Asylum, Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, St. Mark's Church, Christ Church, Independence Hall, Pennsylvania Hospital, St. Peter's Church, and Spark's Shot Tower. Also shows the five major squares (as well as Independence Square) and adjacent landmarks, including the P.R.R. Freight Depot, U.S. Mint, First Independent Church, Pennsylvania Asylum for the Blind, and Will's Eye Hospital.
