Panoramic view showing cityscape in Center City Philadelphia. Includes residential buildings, storefronts, factories, Chestnut Street Theatre (603-609 Chestnut), the flag-adorned roof of "Barnum Museum" (628-632 Chestnut) and the top of Alfred M. Herkness Philadelphia Horse & Carriage Bazaar (800 block Sansom). Also shows partial view of the Philadelphia Arcade (615-619 Chestnut), trees in Independence Square, and pedestrian and street traffic in the foreground. Traffic includes a horse-drawn carriage and man on horseback.
