Description
Confirmation certificate containing allegorical and religious scenes and vignettes set within a border designed as an arch adorned with ornamentations and vinery. Scenes show the confirmation ceremonies for a group of boys and a group of girls, and a view of heaven with the Holy Mother receiving those who have departed the earth. Includes angels, some holding the banner "I.H.S. Behold Thy mother" surrounding the Mother of God who receives men, a woman, and child attired in Reniassance garb. Additional imagery includes an altar boy holding a crucifix, a female harpist, and a framed, vignette depiction of the Holy Mother encircled by text reading "Soldality of B.V.M. St. Joseph's Church Phia."
