and 1844 volumes 2 and 3 of the seminal "History of the Indian Tribes of North America . . ." containing hand-colored portrait
lithographs printed by John T. Bowen. The partnership operated from 132 (i.e., 600 block) Arch Street.

James G. Clark, born 1789, lived in the High Street ward in 1850 and maintained a gentleman's office on the 600 block of Arch
Street from the 1830s to 1860s. Clark died May 8, 1883.
