Hand colored pink on cheeks.
Notes
Cased photographs retrospective conversion project.
Pad: Faded red velvet with geometric design in center. Scrolled border.
Mat: Oval.
Case: Leather. Spray of mixed flowers in a nonpareil like border. Same design on verso. The design of the case is called Lily and Rose and is plate 114 in American Miniature Case Art by Floyd and Marion Rinhart (Cranbury, New Jersey: A. S. Barnes and Co. Inc., 1969.) Produced in moderate quantity, ca. 1850.
