Depicts an exterior view looking northeast and interior views of the writing and smoking room, dining room, tea room, the lobby and writing room. Also includes an advertisement for the hotel, with an inset of the exterior of the hotel building. Places of interest in Philadelphia printed on verso of advertisement. Contains 5 postcards printed in color and 1 printed in black and white. Thomas H. Green opened a restaurant on the site of the former Edwards residence at 731 Chestnut Street in 1866. The former site of the Edward Shippen house, Philemon Dickenson house and the Union Building (735 Chestnut Street) were incorporated into Green's Hotel in 1883.
