View looking southwest at the north front and east flank of the fire-engine house (i.e., headhouse) at Second and Pine Streets,
designed in 1745, with a cupola and alarm bell added in 1819. Two blocks of market sheds extend along Second Street from the
rear of the headhouse to South Street.
