Perhaps you did not have an opportunity to dig holes for the purpose of burying or finding treasure. These youngsters have, and are in a way, exercising that privlidge [sic]. Hence what is lost in a cozy playroom, is found in the freedom of the outdoors. But these free lances are not burying or seeking gold. Truth to tell it was a bitter cold day and there was a high wind, so these pirates were engaged in digging fire holes in the side of the ditch, for the verry [sic] pratical [sic] purpose of arranging a set of ovens, firing them and so keeping warm.
