Title: Regular Army! Avoid the draft! Bounty $652 bounty Wanted for the 10th U.S. Infantry able-bodied men, between 18 and 45 years of age. Head-quarters of the regiment are now at Fort Lafayette, New York Harbor, where recruits will be sent on enlistment. For promotion, it is the most favorable time for young men to enlist, as Congress has reserved the position of lieutenant for all meritorious men of the regular army, and it is now impossible for any one to get a commission without first enlisting as a soldier. $100 more bounty given to regulars than is allowed to volunteers.
