The busy street also includes a couple with their son walking their dog; a gentleman and woman on horseback; a hurried surrey; an omnibus pulled by a horse-team dressed in regalia traveling in front of the Spring Garden Institute (northwest corner Spring Garden and Broad); and men talking near the fountain completed in 1853 in the center of the block of Spring Garden.
