- Photographer's imprint printed on mount., Photographer's blindstamp on mount., Oblique view of the south side of the Gothic Revival-style station. Three men stand on the platform facing the tracks. The station was constructed in 1869 after designs by Joseph M. Wilson for the straightened route between Ardmore and Rosemont. Demolished in 1963.

- View of the Harriton stone residence, showing an old pump in the foreground. The datestone is visible in the gable. The initials R.E. stand for Rowland Ellis, who constructed the residence in 1704. Richard Harrison owned the property after Ellis and named it Harriton. His daugher married Charles Thomson, a member of the General Assembly and the Secretary of Congress in 1774, and moved into Harriton after they were married., Inscribed in negative: 3136., Title from negative sleeve.

- Oblique view of the Harriton stone residence, showing the front facade and side elevation with the datestone. Carved into the datestone are the initials R.E., for Rowland Ellis, who constructed the residence in 1704. Richard Harrison owned the property after Ellis and named it Harriton. Llysyfran was built 1882-1884 after the designs of Addison Hutton (1834-1916) for Marriott C. Morris' third cousin and Philadelphia lawyer George Vaux (1863-1927). - Glass negative showing Taylor College, a large three-story stone builidng with a steeply pointed roof and a clock tower at Bryn Mawr. Founded in 1885, Bryn Mawr was the first women’s college to offer graduate education through Ph.Ds. This private liberal arts college, originally affiliated with Quakers, became non-denominational in 1893. Bryn Mawr was also the first United States college to offer doctorates in social work. - Bryn Mawr Hotel from Morris Ave
- Description
- Glass negative showing Bryn Mawr Hotel, a large multi-story building with a prominent central spire. A smaller building and flagpole stand to the right. The Bryn Mawr or Keystone Hotel was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1871 as a summer resort. The original building was razed by fire in 1887. A second hotel was built in 1890 after the designs of Frank Furness. The mortgage, however, was eventually foreclosed and the hotel ceased operations. The Baldwin School for Girls later bought the building., Photographer remarks: Fairly good but hotel is so far off that picture is not effective.
