Lively view showing several spectators enjoying a match at the grounds of the cricket club (founded in 1854) at 411 West Manheim Street. Elegantly attired young men and women, walk, sit, and stand along the field and in a grandstand. Attire includes hats, bowlers, bustles, canes and parasols. In the right of the image, a lady converses with a cricket player near a couple conversing with spectators behind the brickwall of the stand. Others watch from a row of carriages near club buildings in the background. Several persons walk along a path bordering the field. Also contains 2 ink pen lithograph vignettes showing the front facade of the clubhouse and the gate to the club. Clubhouse vignette includes a cricket match.
