Description: The Loganian Library Minutes vol. 1, Nov. 7, 1867, p. 346-347: "We the undersigned desirous of preserving for posterity a faithful and artistic representation of Stenton the residence of the Hon. James Logan hereby agree to contribute the sums set opposite our names respectively to be expended in an oil painting by Edmund Lewis of the said house and grounds of Stenton as they exist at present; the painting to be presented to and preserved by the Loganian Library." Title: Nutz's house "A very old stone house," writes Mr. Watson, "of two storys, owned and dwelt in by Nutz, a tanner, who had his tanyard along the street, southward. It is now a house resting some two feet or more below the street pavement but in former years (before the turnpike was laid there at a higher grade) " it had two steps upwards of entrance form the street. Title: " Pushmobiles lined up for a race, G[erman]t[ow]n
Description: Panoramic view showing several boys, attired in hats, coats, and often goggles, in pushmobiles lined on each side of a residential street in preparation for a race. Boys stand behind the vehicles, while men, including a police officer and likely officials, walk and convene at the other end of the street. Many of the pushmobiles are numbered and some are named, including one with the moniker "Otto." The pushmobiles are possibly participating in the first Thanksgiving Pushmobile Derby that occurred in 1911.
