Depicts views of Market Square with the Market Square Presbyterian Church in the background, along with views of the square looking at the Executive Mansion, or Robert Morris House, where George Washington stayed during the drafting of the Constitution in 1787. Most views include the Civil War monument looking northeast, erected in 1883 by the members of Ellis Post, No. 6, Grand Army of the Republic. Shows the granite figure of a soldier at "parade rest." Monument moved to Moved to Belmont Avenue and George's Hill Drive in West Fairmount Park in 1909.
