Wanted! For the 12th U.S. Infantry able-bodied men! Between the ages of 18 and 35. Head quarters, Fort Hamilton, N.Y Harbor. The attention of resolute, intelligent, and well-conducted young men is directed to this regiment, in which there have been commissions given to 10 enlisted men, since September 1861, and no second lieutenants appointed except from its own ranks. Courage and good conduct insure promotion! Recruits transferred on enlistment to Fort Hamilton, New York Harbor, where the bounty is as once paid.
