Depicts the Garman House at the northwest corner of Front and Dock Streets, originally the Blue Anchor Tavern. A large anchor projects from the building, near a painted anchor surrounded by the date 1682 on the brick building. Adjacent to a row of houses called Budd's Long Row, built after the tavern opened. A saloon occupies the lot north of the Garman House.
