Glass negative showing the Mechlin-Wagner House, a two-story tavern with shuttered windows at 4840 Germantown Avenue. A fence surrounds the lawn. Trolley tracks run down the brick road in front of the building and two large trees grow on either side of the entryway. The Mechlin-Wagner House was built in 1747 by John Zachary. It was sold to Samuel Mechlin in 1764 and continued to pass through the Mechlin-Wagner family.
