Patrons stand in the doorway of the building, while pedestrians converse and a white man and woman couple passes by on the sidewalk in front of the entrance. Laborers load and unload horse-drawn drays stationed nearby across from street traffic, including a Pennsylvania Central R.R. Depot street car, a racing Adams Express Co. wagon transporting crates, and an African American delivery man pushing a handcart carrying boxes. Also shows partial views of adjacent buildings. Jacob Riegel operated Jacob Riegel & Co. from 1866 until his death in 1880.
