Aerial views of the campuses of Delaware College and Women's College, located in Newark, Delaware. Delaware College was originally chartered in 1769 as the Academy of Newark. In 1843 it was renamed Delaware College. The separate but coordinate Women's College opened in 1914. In 1921 the two coordinate colleges merged and were officially renamed University of Delaware., Negative numbers: 2882-2886.
