Trade card issued during the Columbian Exposition of 1893 advertising Enterprise Mf'g Co. of Pa. "Enterprise Cork Pullers." Contains an anachronistic scene including a caricaturized depiction of John Adams, John Jay, and Benjamin Franklin. Depicts the statesmen near a black servant using an Enterprise cork puller clamped to a table to open a bottle. Adams holds the "Treaty of Peace" and a glass. Behind the three men, several other dignitaries holding up glasses are partially visible. Also contains a view of the Massachusetts State Building designed by Peabody & Stearns. The exposition held in Chicago May 1-October 30, 1898 celebrated the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492.
