Title: $525 bounty Attention citizens of the 14th Ward It is no time to talk of your patriotism and loyalty, prove them by joining Company "G" of the Sixth Union League Regiment, now forming in the 14th Ward, commanded by one of the best officers in the service, Colonel H.G. Sickles [sic] (late Colonel of the 3d Pa. Reserves.) All the government bounties, together with city and ward bounty, will be paid to each recruit as soon as mustered in. This regiment is now forming under the auspices of the Union League of Philadelphia, and is one of the two regiments authorized to be raised in Philadelphia for twelve months' service. Title: Zouaves d'Afrique, Col. C.H.T. Collis This regiment is being actively recruited under the call from the governor of Pennsylvania, in response to the president's proclamation, for immediate active service. A fund which it is desired to increase to $5000, is being raised by subscription to furnish recruits an additional bounty for the support of their families until their pay from the government is received. At the request of the officers of the regiment, Henry C. Townsend, No. 811 Arch Street, has consented to act as treasurer of this fund, which will be used only for the purpose indicated, and as directed by the colonel of the regiment. Title: To the rescue! Bucks County expects every man to do his duty $152 bounty! And one month's pay in advance. One flag! One country! Don't wait to be drafted, but come at once and enroll in the new Bucks Co. company now forming in Doylestown, to serve for the war. Every man as soon as sworn in will be paid $50 by Bucks county, $25 of the $100 government bounty, one month's pay in advance, and $2 enrolment fee. At the end of the war, when honorably discharged, $75, the balance of the government bounty, will be paid. This is no humbug, and the men of Bucks county should not be lured by the representations of those from a distance, who are endeavoring to enlist men for companies out of the county or state. ...
