- Depicts the rusticated stone arch entranceway to Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, situated between two rectangular wings with projecting bay windows. The central tower rises above the two wings and is capped by a pyramidal roof. Shingles unite the taller central block with the shorter wings. Constructed by John Jerome Deery in 1887., Modern reference print #14 available in research file., Attributed to John H. Webster but may have been taken by other Webster family members.

- Exterior view looking southwest at the cemetery's Gothic gatehouse, chapel and steeple on the west side of North Broad Street at Berks Street. Includes two pedestrians standing on the sidewalk in front of the cemetery's entrance, and a milkman's coach parked in the street in the left foreground. Designed by Philadelphia artist and engraver John Sartain, the building also served as an office and superitendent's house before it was demolished to open Berks Street between Broad and Sixteenth Streets in 1904. - Glass negative showing a view of a the Friends' Library behind a cemetery surrounded by a low metal fence and a stone wall as seen from the roof of 4739-4745 Main Street, later Germantown Avenue. The Library stands on the right side of the cemetery and the gymnasium and primary school of the Germantown Friends School are visible in the backgorund. The Friends Free Library was originally housed in the Germantown Friends School, starting in 1845. In 1874, a separate library building was built, endowed by Alfred Cope. The Friends Free Library was an independent organization until 1977 when it was taken over by the school. The Germantown Friends School under the administration of Charles Jones began as a boy’s school in 1845. After closing briefly in 1849, the school reopened with a new building in 1858 and began enrolling girls. In 1869, a new larger school house was built to accommodate more students.
