Title: Office of the Adams Express Comp'y. 320 Chestnut St. Philadelphia, January 27, 1862 The Adams Express Co. having enlarged their facilities at Washington, D.C., by building a railroad depot, and having acquired additional capacity for transportation, are now prepared to forward heavy express freights, packages and parcels to Washington, Georgetown, Alexandria, Annapolis, Frederick, Adamstown, Fortress Monroe, and other places south occupied by the army, at greatly reduced rates. Special agreements made for merchandise in large lots. Sutler's goods and army supplies at satisfactory prices, on application at our office.
