Billhead containing an exterior view of the L-shaped glue factory, and courtyard. Smoke billows from the stacks on the roof and a weather vane adorns a tower at the cross-section of the building. One section includes vented windows and a chute into the yard, which contains crates and a lamp post. In the street, a horse-drawn cart travels toward one stopped near a gentleman. Charles Cumming operated a factory as a sole proprietor until circa 1855 when his firm C. Cumming & Co. was established., Name of proprietors (Charles Cumming and James R.
