View of the Pennsylvania Railroad Depot located opposite of the Centennial Exhibition grounds in Philadelphia in 1876. Shows trains arriving on the railroad tracks in front of the depot. In the right, depicts the Globe Hotel and the Trans-Continental Hotel, which were built to accommodate visitors to the Centennial Exhibition. Large crowds of pedestrians walk, and horse-drawn carriages and omnibuses travel down the street. The Globe Hotel was operated by John A.
