In the background, a few men in costume, including a harlequin and clown, watch the woman. Border details include an oriental-style vase of roses atop cloth draped over the calendar, and the lithographer's tradecard. Also includes decorative trim in the upper edge. Harris, first listed as a printer in 1847, operated one of the largest Philadelphia lithographic studios in the later 19th-century.
