Shows a long-haired child, possibly a boy, attired in a collared dress, bow at the waist, knickers, a wide-brimmed hat adorned with flowers, socks, and shoes with straps. The child holds a bouquet of flowers in one hand and holds out a sprig in the other. Advertisement also contains pictorial details depicting fruits and vinery framing the image. Images document buildings, grounds and attractions at the park including night and day time views of the lighted or "electric rainbow" fountain; the music pavilion, a open air theater which served as performance space for summer concert series featuring John Philip Sousa and others; the artificial lakes which were used for boating; popular rides including the Mountain Scenic Railway, the Airships (also known as the Captive Flying Machine), the Coal Mine (a roller coaster), and Venice (a gondola ride); the midway; the lake side pavilion which also served as a soda fountain; the casino; and boat landing. - Arnold mansion postcards

- Exterior views of front facade of Mount Pleasant Mansion (i.e. Arnold Mansion) built 1761-1765 for Captain John Macpherson after the designs of Thomas Nevil in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, Pa. Macpherson, a privateer during the Seven Years’ War, purchased the estate with profits from these operations. Free white and Black laborers, indentured servants, and at least four enslaved people of African descent, whose names are unknown, worked on the plantation. In 1779, General Benedict Arnold purchased Mount Pleasant for his wife Peggy Shippen, but they never occupied the house. In 1792, General Jonathan Williams purchased the mansion. The City of Philadelphia purchased the property from the Williams family in 1869. - Exterior views of front facade of house and entrance stairway commissioned by Henry Pratt in 1799 on land called "The Hills" by the previous owner, Robert Morris. Pratt purchased the land at a sheriff's sale after Morris claimed bankruptcy. Morris's villa had been destroyed by fire, leaving only the greenhouse, which Pratt retained when he built Lemon Hill. Also includes a view of the cemetery in the background., Contains 4 postcards printed in color and 8 printed in black and white., Also known as Church of the Brethren, founded by Alexander Mack in 1708 near Crefeldt in North Prussia. Persecution drove the congregation to Philadelphia in 1719 and in 1723 the first Dunkard or German Baptist Brethren Church was organized in Germantown. The congregation originally worshipped in a building erected by Christopher Sauer (4653 Main Street) and then in a house secured by Peter Pettikoffer, who begged for the money to erect the building. Called Beggar's Town or Bettel Hausen.
