- Album containing photographs of railroad bridges and stations along the B&O Railroad's Philadelphia Division linking Baltimore and Philadelphia taken on a trip made by a small group of B&O Railroad employees who surveyed the line in March 1891. Under the supervision of Division Engineer Maintenance-of-Way William A. Pratt and Foreman of Bridges and Buildings George W. Andrews, the group set out from Baltimore riding on a hand cart to inspect and photograph 78 bridges and culverts spanning rivers, creek, runs, and roads in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania; and 37 of the nearly 70 stations along the line. Images depict a variety of common railroad bridges including through truss bridges, deck truss bridges, deck plate girder bridges, pony plate girder bridges and stone arch culverts as well as images of two major bridges crossing the Susquehanna River near Havre de Grace and the Brandywine River in Wilmington. - Certificate for the mutual aid association incorporated in 1859 containing seven vignettes showing street cars and street car depots and stations. Two untitled views flank the certificate text. One shows a horse-drawn omnibus traveling during the night by lantern (left) and the other shows a brightly painted and elegantly detailed steam powered street car (right). The steam powered car passes a couple in the doorway of the "Duval" lithography studio. Other vignettes show passenger railroad depots at “Race & Vine Sts.”; “Second & Third Sts.”; “Tenth & Eleventh Sts,”; “Ridge Avenue”; and “Fifth & Sixth Sts." Views include omnibuses parked in and arriving and departing from the depots; pedestrian and street traffic, including ladies on promenade, a man herding a flock of sheep, and a horse-drawn carriage; and neighboring buildings. Clements Library, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan and the University of Delware Special Collections., Housed in red-clothed clamshell box., Louella, the estate of successful Philadelphia real estate broker and banker J. Henry Askin, was built in 1867 on hundreds of acres of land along the Lancaster Pike and the Pennsylvania Railroad in Wayne, Pa. The residence contained eighty rooms, was powered with gas retorts, and received water from a reservoir erected on a neighboring hill. The estate also sustained a green house; conservatory; farm; a public lecture hall, library, and place of worship; as well as landscaped lawns and flower gardens. In 1880, Askin sold the property to Philadelphia editor George Childs and banker Anthony J. Drexel for development into the Wayne Estates. The Louella residence was later used as a summer resort hotel, school for girls, and apartments.

- Advertisement showing the busy "Pier 45" and factory of the firm at North Delaware Avenue. On the pier, laborers drive loaded and empty horse-drawn carts, unload sand from a barge, operate hoists from within sheds, and work on a raised platform between warehouses marked "Sand." Boatmen and workers operate equipment and perform manual labor on barges and boats, most with visible names, surrounding the pier. Names include Walter C. of Burlington, Sherman, Wilson, Willie Paxson of Philadelphia, Minerva, Samuel Miller, Estelle (built by Pusey & Jones, delivered 1884 to Paxson), and Saml. C. Bougher. In the background, the factory buildings, connected by an overpass, are visible neighbored by the B&O and P.R.R. freight depots, a pier covered in barrels and bales of wood, and other surrounding buildings. He was married to Anne J. Biddle, who also practiced photography. The couple had one son, Charles Biddle, who died in infancy.

- Civil War souvenir print containing six views of the Union Volunteer Refreshment Saloon at the southwest corner of Washington and Swanson Avenues and the Cooper Shop Volunteer Refreshment Saloon at 1009 Ostego Street. Contains a large central view of the exterior of the Union Saloon with troops arriving, entering the dining saloon, and departing on a Philadelphia, Wilmington & Baltimore Railroad car as crowds of people flock around them. Other views depict soldiers using the wash basins adjoining the Cooper Shop Saloon; pro-Union flags and Saloon banners; the Union Saloon's outside washing and cooking departments including an African American man carrying a pail of food; and interiors of both saloons where male and female volunteers attend to long tables of food and a large simmering vat on a hearth. Contains an eagle clutching large American flags and a pro-Union banner above the scenes.
