- Aerial view of the Wall Rope Works factory plant at Railroad Avenue and Mt.Holly Road in Beverly, New Jersey. Wall Rope Works was an industrial complex of national importance. The heart of the factory was its ropewalk, a long narrow building where strands of material were laid and twisted into rope. The 1,700 foot-long facility was the largest in the U.S. The company supplied rope products for the military beginning with the Spanish-American War; its products were used in the construction of the Kennedy Space Center. View is from northwest to southeast. - Illustrated trade card depicting a vignette of a well-dressed family on the beach, including the father wearing a top hat and cane and the mother holding a yellow parasol. Two girls play near the waves while their parents look on. Vignette inset into a larger scene depicing a sailboat in the ocean, a lighthouse, and seashells lining the shore in the foreground. The Camden & Atlantic Railroad began regular service between Camden and Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1855. The railroad was taken over by the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad in 1883., Contains a condensed timetable ("summer arrangement") for trains traveling between Atlantic City and Philadelphia printed on verso. - Aerial views of the Allied Chemical & Dye Corporation, General Chemical Division plant on the banks of the Cooper and Delaware Rivers in Camden, New Jersey. The corporation (later known as Allied Chemical Corporation and then as the Allied Corporation) was formed in 1921 as an amalgamation of five of the largest U.S. chemical companies established in the 1800s. These views show what was originally the General Chemical sulfuric acid plant. The facility is shown from several angles, including vertical views from high altitude. - Aerial views of the American Bridge Company industrial facility on the Delaware River in Trenton, New Jersey. The company was formed In 1900 when the JP Morgan & Company undertook a consolidation of the bridge construction industry in the United States. This merger of 27 companies commanded 90 percent of the bridge building market in the U.S. Eventually, the American Bridge Company became a subsidiary of the U.S. Steel Corporation. The views show the facility from several angles.
