Depicts the family reading, picnicking, sitting and lounging in their yard, walking and working in their gardens, harvesting corn, playing with family dogs, posing near a small footbridge, and eating on their porch. Several members of the family are seated on their horses in a few of the images. One image includes an African American man, attired in a white chef’s hat and apron, overseeing a meal under a tent. Also shows exterior views of the family's two-and-a-half story residence with porches on the first two levels, a stone barn, and outbuildings.
