Griffith, Fancy Dry Goods (283); J. H. Farrand’s, Confectionery (281); C. Dan[g]uy , Hair Dresser (279); and Charles S. Rand, Druggist & Chemist (279)., Accompanying advertisements promote ten of the depicted businesses, as well as businesses from adjacent plate, including F. A. Hoyt’s Boy’s Clothing Store (264); T. W. Dufrene, Composition Marble Cement (Chestnut, below Tenth); Rand; Danguy; Farrand; Laurer; Mattson; and the Ladies Depository. Advertisements contain promotional text and ornamented type.
