Title: Transportation of the dead! Staunton Transportation Company's transportation case, preserves the body in a natural and perfect condition as when placed in it, for any distance or length of time, in any weather. It is light, durable, tastefully finished, and so arranged as to readily expose the face of the corpse for inspection. The corpse requires no preparation, as by embalming, cutting or poisoning; but all arrangements for the funeral can be made and held a church or home, as though the subject had died on the day of arrival at home. The transportation cases are rented only to carry bodies home and returned by express at the company's expense. ... Coffins, boxes, &c., furnished for those desiring to take up friends, (who are buried,) for removal, together with teams, exhumers and guides who have surveyed the whole battle-fields of the Potomac Army. Also, embalmers, deodorizers and army disinfectionists, of the best scientific attainments, ... their services rendered if wished. ...
