Disabled officers and enlisted men, honorably discharged from the service of the United States, can now obtain positions in the Invalid Corps! The term of enlistment will be three years, unless sooner discharged. Claims for pensions or bounties, which may be due for previous service, will not be invalidated by enlistment in the Corps of Honor. The men enlisted will be graded according to efficiency. Those most efficient will be employed mainly as provost guards, and garrison for cities, will be armed with muskets, and will be assigned to companies of the First Battalion. Those of the next degree of physical efficiency, including all who have lost a hand or arm, to companies of the Second Battalion, and will be employed as guards of buildings, hospitals, &c. Those who are the least effective, including all who have lost a foot or leg, to the companies of the Third Batallion, and will be employed as clerks, orderlies, cooks, nurses, &c. in hospitals.
