View showing the "Nymph with Bittern" statue at the east side of the icy forebay at the Fairmount Water Works on the Schuylkill River. The statue, sculpted in wood in 1809 by William Rush for the Centre Square Water Works, was installed at the basin in 1827. Also shows an elevated walkway to Reservoir Hill in the upper left corner of the image.
