Advertisement calendar for the year 1883 containing a sentimental, genre scene for the firm renamed Geo. S. Harris & Sons in 1876. Scene shows a woman attired in a diaphanous dress, with plunging neckline and a high-rimmed bonnet, seated under a branch of an apple tree. A cluster of flowers, a butterfly, and a paper fan dominate the foreground and in the background, a farmhouse on a hillside completes the scene. Also includes decorative trim in the upper edge. Harris, first listed as a printer in 1847, operated one of the largest Philadelphia lithographic studios in the later 19th-century.
