Series of illustrated trade cards entitled, "Marrying for money," "Working for money," "Dealing for money," and "Begging for money," depicting vignettes surrounded by paper and coin currency. One vignette shows an older man and a young woman. As he mischievously twists his mustache, she is posed in a childlike manner, seated and playing with his pocketwatch. Others depict a woman bringing food or drink to an older blacksmith working with a hammer and anvil; a woman seated at a table and a man standing at her side; and an older man seated and begging for money with his hat and a woman standing next to him with her hand open., Copyrighted 1881 by W.W.
