The meeting house is surrounded by trees and seen from a short distance from the side. The Radnor Meeting began in 1684 in the house of Quaker minister John Jerman. The Meeting House was built in two sections, the first in 1717 and the second in 1722 on land owned by Jerman. He transferred ownership to the Meeting in 1735. The Meeting House was used as a hospital for the Continental Army in 1778.
