The group sits in a semi-circle around a blanket filled with food and a picnic basket. Samuel holds a bottle and a box in his hands and Taylor holds a fan up to her face. - Glass negative showing Marriott Morris' sister Elizabeth Canby Morris, Fannie Garrett, Fred Strawbridge, and Helen Morris, possibly Marriott Morris' third cousin, posed in front of the carved railing of the Morris family home Avocado's porch. Helen Morris and Garrett sit in the center while Strawbridge stands behind them. Elizabeth Morris sits on the grass in front of the group with a parasol on the ground next to her. Strawbridge wears a suit jacket and hat. The women wear long white dresses and Elizabeth Morris wears a hat. Elliston Perot Morris bought property in Sea Girt, N.J. in 1875, where he built the summer home Avocado after designs by Quaker architect Hibberd Yarnall. Morris left Avocado, named after a Perot family estate in Bermuda, to his daughter Elizabeth Canby Morris in his will. It was sold in 1947 after her death.
