Third Ward avoid the draft A mass meeting of the citizens of the Third Ward will be held on Tuesday eve'ng, Feb. 2d at half-past 7 o'clock, at Jefferson Hall! Cor. of Sixth and Christian Sts. Citizens of the Third Ward, come out in your might, irrespective of party, and show that you can and will do your duty for the success of the ward. Let all who are in favor of raising the quota of the ward attend. Eminent speakers will address the meeting. Hon. Morton McMichael, Hon. Daniel Dougherty, Hon Theodore Cuyler, Hon. E.C. Quinn, Hon. Union mass meeting! The friends of the government of the United States, and supporters of the national and state authorities, without regard to party distinction, will assemble in mass convention at Chester! On Thursday, October 8th, in the afternoon and evening commencing at 2 and 7 o'clock, P.M. Come men of Pennsylvania, in the spirit of freedom, to support your brave brethren who are in arms ... your government, and for the protection of your property and homes. Come! all who are in favor of the supremacy of law, order and the Constitution, and who wish to avoid the anarchy and despotism which an atrocious rebellion would impose on the freemen of the United States. The following gentlemen will be present and address the meeting: Gov. Andrew G. Curtin, Gen. B.F. Bruce, of New York, Col. R.S. Mathews, of Baltimore, Col. Philip S. White, of Philadelphia, John W. Forney, Esq. Hon. John M. Broomall, " John Hickman, Wayne McVeagh, Esq. Morton McMichael, Esq. and other eminent speakers who will be sent by the State Central Committee. A splendid display of pyrotecnics will take place in the evening, under the direction of Prof. Jackson
