Print depicting an exterior view of the State Asylum for the Insane built in 1876 after the designs of architect Samuel Sloan in Morristown, New Jersey. Shows the sprawling 673,700 square foot building with three water fountains in the front. People walk around the grounds, which has walkways and trees. In the right background, a train travels down the railroad tracks. The institution's name has changed over the years: State Asylum for the Insane at Morristown (1876-1893); New Jersey State Hospital at Morris Plains (1894 - 1924); and New Jersey State Hospital at Greystone Park (1925 - 2008).
