Sixteenth Regiment U.S. Infantry! Recruits wanted by the undersigned to fill the ranks of a company for the above regiment, which is already organized and about to take the field. The advantages which the regular service offers to persons entering the army, are too well known to need mentioning. They include good pay, good food, good officers, and consequently, good treatment of the men. The term of enlistment is the same as for the volunteer service. Young men wishing to enter military life will do well to consider the great advantages offered by enlisting in the Sixteenth Infantry. The colonel of the regiment is General Andrew Porter, late of the mounted rifles, and at present holding a distinguished command in the Army of the Potomac. ...
