- Glass negative showing Fred Baker, Eli Price, Gertrude Mellor and Marriott C. Morris' sister Elizabeth Canby Morris, third cousin Ellen Morris, and possibly his third cousin Helen Campbell Morris and posed on the porch of a house at Lakewood, N.J. Two of the women and a man sit on the floor with their legs dangling over the edge of the porch while the other women and man sit in chairs behind them. A hammock hangs from the porch's supporting pillars. The women waer long patterned dresses and hats while the men wear three-piece suits and hats. Originally settled by mill operators in 1750, Lakewood became a winter resort area in 1880. It housed the prominent hotels Laurel House (1880-1932), Lakewood Hotel (1891-1925), and Laurel-in-the-Pines (1891-1967).
