Bust-length, left profile portrait of Rogers wearing her curly hair up with a headband and attired in a dress with a ruffled collar. Portrait identified by descendants as Sarah Elizabeth Rogers, daughter of New York merchant Moses Rogers and Sarah Woolsey Rogers. Sarah Elizabeth Rogers would have been twenty years old, and the sitter appears older. Inscription also reads, Mrs. Rodgers, which is crossed out. [See Elaine Mile.
