First night of an original national drama! written expressly for this theatre, embracing the most exciting incidents of the present Rebellion. Monday evening, January 6th, 1862, and during the week the performances will commence with Shakspere's comedy of Love's labour's lost ... Various popular musical selections by the orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Charles R. Dodworth The performance will conclude with, (first time in America) an entirely new national drama, written by Robert Jones, Esq., author of the "Patriot's dream," &c., &c., and founded upon various interesting events of the psesent [sic] Rebellion, entitled Scotto! or, The scout and the spy. New scenery, costumes, appointments and music. Scenery by Mr Hayes--Music by Mr Dodworth. ... Change of time.--The doors will open at half-past 6.
