- Originally part of a McAllister scrapbook of Civil War miscellanies., Collection containing cut-outs of and uncut sheets of Civil War era paper soldiers. Soldiers depicted with guns, knapsacks, drums, on horseback, carrying flags, during charges, and on the march. Majority contain the name of the regiment, including Advance Guard, N.Y. St. Vol., Col. Ab. Duryee (5th N.Y. Infantry); De Kalb Zouaves, N.Y. St. Vol. Capt. Duysing (41st N.Y. Infantry); Firemen Zouaves, N.Y. St. Vol., Col. Ellsworth (11th N.Y. Infantry); Green Mountain Boys of Vermont (Vermont National Guard); Highland Guard 79th Regt. L, Col. Elliott; Irish Zouaves, Capt. Francis (69th N.Y. Infantry); National Zouaves N.Y. St. Vol., Col. Three paper soldier wrappers published by New York firms McLoughlin Brother and G. Heerbrandt also included as part of the collection. Wrappers contain illustrations of soldiers, assembly instructions, and list of available series. Copies of soldiers illustrated on wrappers included in collection.
