Soldiers depicted with guns, knapsacks, drums, on horseback, carrying flags, during charges, and on the march. Majority contain the name of the regiment, including Advance Guard, N.Y. St. Vol., Col. Ab. Duryee (5th N.Y. Infantry); De Kalb Zouaves, N.Y. St. Vol. Capt. Duysing (41st N.Y. Infantry); Firemen Zouaves, N.Y. St. Vol., Col. Ellsworth (11th N.Y.
