Description: Billhead containing a cameo stamp depicting "French & Richards' New Wholesale Drug, Paint & Glass Warehouse, N.W. Cor. of 10th & Market St., Philada." Shows the exterior of the four-story building, including a tower. Crates and barrels line the side of the store. Also shows the adjacent hardware store. Established in 1844 by Clayton French, William Campbell, and William H. Richards, the firm was renamed French, Richards & Co. in 1855. The business operated from Market and Tenth streets 1844-1890.
