Description: Calendar advertisement for the year 1876 offered during the Cenntenial Exhibition. Includes an ornate border containing vignettes, scenes, allegorical figures, and other pictorial elements. On either side of the calendar, female allegorical figures within elements styled as Faberge eggs are depicted. Figures include Peace, Liberty, Mortality, Music, Poetry, and Art. Below the calendar, female allegorical figures and scenes contrast the wilderness of 1776 with an industrial city of 1876. Other elements show cupids, eagles, oval-framed vignette of the liberty bell, and floral ornaments. Description: Advertisement calendar for 1871 containing three vignettes, and pictorial elements. Vignettes depict a steam powered rotary press, a steam powered lithography press, and an exterior view of the "Jacob Haehnlen Lithographic Establishment" at 418 Library Street. Press views include operators, and exterior view also depicts street and pedestrian traffic and neighboring buildings. Traffic includes a horse-drawn carriage and a man pushing a handcart. Advertisement also contains cherubic figures sketching in a book and holding a palette, and floral and filigree border details. Description: Advertising calendar for 1881 for Lehman & Bolton, a partnership between William H. Lehman and Mahlon Bolton, Jr. formed in 1871. Surrounded by a gilt border, the image shows an ornate setting containing patriotic allegorical figures and symbols, including Liberty with a lyre, marble bust, fasces, and an American shield at her feet sitting with the liberty pole draped across her lap and a laurel wreath on her head as she looks at an album of U.S. Presidents; flowers and cherubs holding grain, holly, a scythe, an umbrella, a watering pot, and other spring symbols; and the dome of the United States Capitol in the background. Shows a hunter, with a hunting basket containing a frog on his back, and his dog wearing the gun attachment "Invented by Donald Read" at a pond. The hunter holds a bullfrog in one hand and the trigger attachment in the other as the dog is aimed at a frog in the water.
