Handbill containing a view of the boy's boarding school built in 1804 for brothers John Thomas and Charles Carre at Heart Lane and Nicetown Lane, between Germantown and Frankford. School property includes landscaped lawns, a barn, and trees. A man approaches the entrance of the school where a woman waits at the door. Pupils are visible in the first floor windows. Also contains several paragraphs signed by administrator Samuel S. Griscom describing the school, including location, "Course of Instruction," "Terms for Tuition," and the school philosophy in addition to names of references.
