Description
Two smiling women, a suitcase at their feet, stand on a wooden train platform next to a small station identified with a sign as Daylesford. In the center, two white women, attired in brimmed hats, gloves, jackets, and skirts, look at the viewer. Empty train tracks stretch out behind them. Built as part of the Pennsylvania Railroad, the station, razed in 2000, was located on Lincoln Highway and Conestoga Street, 18 miles west of Philadelphia.
